Bicycles Rentals

Whatever your persuasion, we have the right bicycle for you. Always well maintained, our fleet of rentals includes sizes to fit riders of nearly any stature. Our popular hybrids put the rider in a comfortable upright position and feature an easy-shifting transmission. For the more radical rider, our mountain bikes are ready for any trail. Though we cannot accommodate small children, we do have a limited number of kids' bikes for young riders.

As part of the Stanford Inn by the Sea, we offer guests of the Inn complimentary use of bicycles during their stay. Otherwise, our rental period is from 9am until 5pm daily. We do offer overnight and multi-day rates. Bicycle availability is on a first-come first-served basis, so come early for the best selection. Helmets are provided with each rental, and are required for all riders.

Routes

Big River Trail

This most popular of rides takes you on a gently rolling course alongside the majestic Big River. Once an old logging road, this easy trail winds eight miles through the Redwoods of Big River State Park. Most prefer to ride out-and-back, but the more adventurous can ride this trail as part of a larger loop — though not without tackling some significant hills. Ask us about the Big River Laguna, a large freshwater marsh located eight miles up and a short wade across the river (impassable in winter).

Rates

Adults are $28 each for up to 3 hours, over 3 hours add an additional $12. Children between 6 and 17 who are accompanied by an adult, are half price. Please call for multi-day rates.
